Homel police confiscate 1.5 thousand appeals to deputies
The police have confiscated 1.5 thousand leaflets containing an appeal to deputies from the head of Homel regional affiliate of the United Civil Party Vasil Palyakou on November 10. Vasіly Palyakou and a UCP activist Ihar Sluchak were detained by employees of Savetski District Department of the Interior at 12.30 p.m. According to Sluchak, they were taken to the police office and interrogated. Then the policemen confiscated 1.5 thousand appeals to deputies from Palyakou.
The activists were released an hour later when the protocol had been drawn up. The appeal in the leaflets urges deputies to give electors account of their activities. They also remind that “elected representatives” adopted the law on the cancellation of benefits and social guarantees.
