Hockey: Mikhail Grabovski named Belarus' player of the year

Toronto Maple Leafs' and Belarus forward Mikhail Grabovski has been named the Player of the Year in the 2008/2009 season, according to a traditional poll conducted by the Press Ball newspaper. He received 457 points.  Andrei Mezin's, Metalurg Magnitogorsk and Belarus goalie, is number two with 388 points. Ruslan Salei, a Belarus and NHL's Colorado defender is third with 127 points.

200 respondents, including coaches, referees, experts and journalists, took part in the poll.
