Healthcare ministry official busted in graft deal

An official from the Belarusian Ministry of Healthcare and his wife have created a corruption cell, offering the Minsk-based businessmen to facilitate the experise of the French-made blood cell scanners imported to Belarus. The expertise is a mandatory procedure for the registration of imported medical equipment. The two asked $10,000 for the deal. The official's wife is employed with the company which carries out the expertise of medical equipments. However, the spouses were arrested by undercover police agents when receiving the bribe, writes Zviazda newspaper.
