Head of Belarusian Potash Company supervisory board is detained

The General Prosecutor’s Office has started criminal cases for power abuse, the press service of the Investigation Committee reports.

Head of the BPC supervisory board Vladislav Baumgertner, member of the supervisory board Aleh Pyatrou, senior deputy director general Kanstantsin Saladounikau and head of the freight department Dzmitry Samoilau are among the suspects.

The criminal cases were started on suspicion of power abuse which did a lot of damage to Belarus’ state and civil interests. Belaruskali and BPC suffered major losses.  

The co-head of the supervisory board was detained. Pyatrou, Yaustratau and Samoilau are wanted by the Belarusian police and Interpol.
