HC Dynamo Minsk explain refusal from Brutto’s concert
The marketing service of the Minsk's ice hockey club says 'some people wanted to use the concert for political purposes.'
It was a mistake to announce Brutto’s concert in advance, the club’s marketing service reports. The club employees Raman Stronhin and Artsyom Vasilyeu said it in an interview with Pressball.
The home match with Medveščak had to start with a concert of Siarhei Mikhalok’s band Brutto, the club officially announced in 2014. However, the concert was cancelled a few days before the match.
It was a mistake to announce the concert in advance, the club marketing service said. “Some people and mass media tried to use the show to reach their political goals. Dynama does not want to play any political games no matter what camp the people are from,” Vasilyeu explained the club’s position.
Brutto’s frontman Siarhei Mikhalok is known for his harsh political statements. He openly supported Euromaidan in Ukraine and criticised the Russian and Belarusian political authorities.
