Green Card lottery could disappear

The U.S. House of Representatives passed a legislation that is set to change drastically the immigration rules in the United States. The abolishment of the famous Green Card lottery could become one of the results of the new measure. Simultaniously, America could introduce a new Z-type visa for temporary workers. 400,000 visas of this type are expected to be issued annually. However, they would be issued only three times for two-year periods with one-year breaks between every issue. Illegal immigrants are not likely to be granted a long-expected amnesty.
