Girl hit by grenade in Kiev (photo)
Katerina Bolshakova, Maidan protester, was hit by a grenade in the centre of Kiev on February 18.
A Berkut’s grenade hit her in the back, she wrote on Facebook. It happened when protesters were leaving Instututskaya Street. “I was the last to leave the Street as I was helping a 75-year-old woman out,” Bolshakova wrote. “I was wearing a back pack with back protectors. The right breast band and the burnt bottom are the only things that remained on my back. If it hadn’t been for the packpack, I would be dead now…”
