German, Russian left-wing forces against US missile shield in Europe
The leftist forces in Germany and Russia have joined efforts, objecting to deployment of the U.S. anti-missile shield in Poland and the Czech Republic.
They described the shield project as "US, NATO policy aimed to put military pressure on the peoples".
The undersigned have appealed to the parliaments of Germany and Russia asking them to denounce the project.
From the Russian side, the appeal has been signed by Nobel Prize winner Zhores Alferov, female cosmonaut Svetlana Savitskaya and the leader of the Russian communists Gennady Zyganov.
