General Public Prosecutor's Office to investigate "Pinsk Wood" blast due to immensity of case

The case of the explosion at the "Pinsk Wood" factory has been transferred to the General Public Prosecutor's Office of Belarus. As it was informed to Euroradio by the head of the Office's press-center Piotr Kisialiou, such decision had been taken due to immensity of the accident: Kisialiou: “The accident is immense, so it has become a resonant event for our small country. Thus, it should be the General Prosecutor's Office to investigate the case in order to avoid any understatements”.

Mr. Kisialiou also informed that the General Public Prosecutor's Office would not conduct revision of the already completed investigation. The point is, their representatives have worked at the tragedy site since the very beginning. As for the terms of the Pinsk tragedy investigation, the representatives of the General Public Prosecutor's Office say the results are still far off. According to Mr. Kisialiou, several complicated expert examinations should be conducted, and some of them have already been appointed.
