Free imports to be cut down to 200 euro after holiday season

If free imports are cut down to 200 euro, it will happen after the holiday season. The deputy head of the State Customs Committee Syarhei Barysyyuk has informed about it. He also said that the new standard was being normalized by ministries and institutions. According to “Interfax”, Syarhei Barysyuk stressed that approach to the 200 euro free import would be selective. He claimed that if a Belarusian citizen went shopping abroad, customs officers would try to find out why he did not do it in his or her country.

At the same time he stressed that the 200 euro standard would not influence the personal luggage of citizens returning to Belarus from abroad.
