Four illicit distillers busted in Brest region

Over 5.5 tons of brew and four illicit distillers were destroyed by police within one day in the Brest region.

Three distillers were busted in the Kobryn district. They were located in the deep woods near the villages of Dzivin, Cemer and Pavicce. Apart from the equipment, police destroyed 4,750 liters of brew, reports Belapan news agency.


Yet another mini-distiller and 800 liters of brew were found by police near the village of Borki in the Pruzany district.


Police have found and destroyed a total of 68 illicit distillers in the woods of the Brest region since early this year. Over the whole year of 2006, police busted 44 distillers in the region.
