FC BATE Barysau advanced into the 3rd qualifying round of UEFA Champions League after beating Alashkert on July 18 in Armenia. The Belarus champions are now tied against the Czech champions Slavia Prague.

Alashkert started vigorously and made more shots on target in the first 10 minutes than during the whole first leg in Belarus. Nenadovic put hosts ahead after one-on-one with Scherbitski on 18th minute.

But BATE seemed to calm down and began acting more constructively. Mikhail Hardziaychuk scored twice before the break despite early substitutions of Ryas and Milunovic over injuries!

In the second half BATE remained confident controlling the game comfortably before Valadzko confirmed the tie with Slavia Prague on 78th minute. Final result 1-3 (2-4 on aggregate) in favor of BATE.

Belarus 5 sports TV channel did not broadcast the match after failing to agree on the price of the broadcasting rights in the minutes prior to kick-off. Armenias asked $50 000 for the broadcasting rights.
