Flood in Georgia: mourning on June 15 (photo, video)

Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili announced June 15 the Day of Mourning in connection with the death of many people during the natural disaster in Tbilisi. The Prime Minister condoles with relatives and freidns of the killed people, information agencies report.

The number of flood victims has reached 12 people in Tbilisi. Many people are missing. Roads and infrastructure objects have been destroyed; dozens of families have been left homeless.

Tbilisi Zoo has been damaged most of all. Six lions, six tigers, seven bears and 13 wolves escaped from the zoo. The Georgian riot police had to shoot down 6 wolves and one hyena in the city streets. A hippo was sedated and delivered back to the zoo.
