Flat of Andrei Sannukau’s guard searched in Barysau

Barysau police have searched Leanid Navitski’s flat – an activist of the campaign “European Belarus” and a former guard of presidential candidate Andrei Sannikau, informs “Charter-97”. Policemen phoned the activist’s wife at about 1 p.m. on January 8 and demanded that she arrived at home because a search had to be conduced. Otherwise, they threatened her that they would break the door. The woman who was out of town had to return to Barysau.

The search was conducted because of the criminal case concerning mass disorders in the Square. Let us remind you that leaned Navitski was detained together with Andrei Sannikau when he was driving the beaten candidate and his wife Iryna Halip to hospital on December 19. Navitski was sentenced to 15 days of arrest. Then Leanid was informed that he was a suspect in the criminal case “on mass disorders” (article 293 p.1 and p.2). Leanid left the country before the new arrest.
