First train arrives at Minsk National Airport

The first train arrived at Minsk National Airport at 13:20 on November 7. It left from the station Minsk-Pasazhyrski. The first passengers were the Minister of Transport and Communications of Belarus Anatoly Sivak, first deputy chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Uladimir Kuharau, head of the Belarusian Railways Uladimir Morozau.

Interfax-Zapad added that the Ministry of Transport and Communications hopes to get passengers not only from the capital but also from the regions of our country, from Smolensk region of Russia, who use the Minsk National Airport.

Starting from today, 5 pairs of modern diesel trains with three cars each will run daily in a test mode from Minsk Pasazhyrski to Minsk National Airport. The first one leaves at 5:35, the last one - at 20:25. Trains do not go directly to the airport - buses take passengers there from the the last stop. The railroad travel takes 55-56 minutes, the bus trip takes 4-5 minutes more.

The cost of the trip including the bus fare is 25,000 rubles one way.
