Finance Ministry: Nuclear station will cost $4bn

The construction of a nuclear power plant will cost Belarus around $4 billion, Belarus's Finance Minister Mikalai Korbut said in a statement. Adressing a session of the Belarus's National Security Council, he noted that apart from the national budget, foreign loans and the fund for the national development and the innovation fund of the Energy Ministry were to provide funding for the project.

The Security Council of Belarus on January 15 passsed "a final political decision" about the construction of the first nuclear power station in Belarus, reminds Interfax.
