Posters

It is a huge multi-colored banner of red and green color with the image of national well-being and happiness - veterans, youth, wheat in the field, Darya Domrachava and Aliaksandr Lukashenka. In the center of the poster there is his electoral slogan: "To the Future of Independent Belarus". This looks vey much like a campaign poster. I am looking for the imprint data (circulation, printing house, client) and ... there is none. Looks like a scandal. Such a strong candidate, and such a trivial violation.

CEC: "The imprint data is to be on the printed products of all candidates"

"Yes, yes, yes. It is to be placed on printed products of all the candidates. Sure," says the head of the Central Election Commission Lidziya Yarmoshyna about the imprint. There you can see the printing place (what if it is abroad), circulation, license of the printing house, and most importantly - who ordered the agitation material and who paid for it. This is a presidential election after all, not an amateur talent show.

BELTA: "It seems, no contract was signed with us"

I am looking once again at the mysterious poster with the election slogan of the incumbent "To the Future of Independent Belarus." Somewhere I've seen these photos before. It seems it was on the website of BELTA... I looked for it and found it. The original of the picture was posted on the website of the state news agency, the author - Mikalai Pyatrou, the picture was taken on June 26, 2015 in Minsk, the number of photo - 208657,03. Key words - "Lukashenka, ball of graduates, graduates, young people." I called the BELTA marketing department. A female voice says that the election headquarters did not buy the pictures from them. "You know, we have everything under the contracts, it would be seen if the payment had come from the fund of a presidential candidate. I do not recall that. But I think that in this case you should talk with the leadership," said the girl on the phone. Predictably, there were no supervisors available for comment.

The Election Commission of the Central district of Minsk: "We will check and understand, respond"

What to do? I decide to find the people who put up the info stands. They did not appear in Niamiha by themselves. In the office of the administration of the Central rayon of Minsk where I found a sensation, I was immediately advised to call the department of ideology. They simply said: "It is they - call them." But after hearing the words "posters without imprint", the ideology department strongly advised me to apply to the Electoral Commission of the Central rayon. The Chairman of the commission - Mikalai Bury - picked up the phone. He promised to check it out and record the violation:

"The Electoral Commission does not put anything on these stands. The stands are put there for the candidates  to put up their materials. If one of them broke something, we need to look into it. It is the candidate who is responsible for all the violations," said Mikalai Bury.

I asked, if there will be a check after my call. The answer is yes. "Sure, I'll send a person to check it. Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow we can tell you what is hanging there," assures me the Chairman of the Electoral Commission.

So in the next few days my route from home to work will take place through Niamiha. Suddenly, the strange poster will disappear, like it was with the leaflets of Haidukevich. However, on the printouts of Haidukevich have all the imprint data. The circulation is 10 thousand, printing house Ribba, customer - Haidukevich S.V.
