Euroradio marks 10th anniversary

Еўрарадыё адзначае сваё 10-годдзе

Euroradio went on air on February 26, 2006, with news programming and music broadcast from Warsaw for 16 hours. News bulletins were out on every hour.

We are broadcasting 24/7 now, almost all the content is our own and news bulletins are out every 20 minutes. Euroradio does not have a FM frequency in Belarus but there is a registered bureau where 10 accredited journalists work.

All stories are regularly updated on the website euroradio.fm. Euroradio is able to present impartial and balanced information.

“We chose a model that still cannot be realized in Belarus. There is no alternative to Euroradio in Belarus, be it on TV or on the radio. None of the registered mass media can present impartial information independent from the Belarusian authorities. Many of them cannot distribute information on the territory of Belarus,” Euroradio CEO Dzmitry Novikau noted.

Some Euroradio’s reports have affected the Belarusian legislation. Many heroes of our reports have managed to restore justice after our journalists wrote about them.
