European Council hopes the dialogue to bring results in the next few months

A round-table discussion “European Values” is taking place in Minsk this Friday.  Officials of the confederation of international non-governmental organizations of the Council of Europe, Belarusian deputies, and representatives of the Supreme and Constitutional Court and of Belarusian NGOs are present there.
The President of the Confederation of NGOs Jean-Marie Hate has informed ERB that the main idea of the discussion and the dialogue is to decide what is better for Belarusian citizens. The council of Europe is ready to help.

Jean-Marie Hate: "There are two approaches represented at the meeting: one of them is represented by non-governmental organizations and the other one – by the authorities. They should agree to start a discussion. I am sure that we will find this way. It is the role of the Council of Europe and the NGO conference of the Council of Europe to help every side understand what is better for citizens”.
Jean-Marie Hate is sure that the dialogue will bring results in the next few months.

Jean-Marie Hate: "It is the first step, the first level of the discussion. I am sure that the evolution will reach a metamorphosis and dramatic changes in the next few months. We need some time, we are looking forward”.
