Estonian consulate suspends operation in Moscow

The Estonian Consulate in Moscow has suspended operation, the Estonian Embassy to Russia today said.
According to the press attache Frank Persidski, the consulate will not reopen until proper security for the diplomatic mission is ensured by the Russian side.

The rally participants said they were prepared "to block the operation of the embassy and to keep the ambassador in until she agrees to leave Russia. Almost 100 people stayed in makeshift tents overnight to confirm the charge.

Around 30 people today came to the Estonian Consulate in the town of Pskov, carrying a wodden coffin. The demonstrators put out anti-Estonian posters and attempted to stage an unauthorized picket, but the police disrupted the action, according to lenta.ru.
