Dmitry Medvedev to arrive in Minsk on Thursday

Russian PM Dmitry Medvedev will arrive in Minsk on February 25. He will take part in the meeting of the Supreme Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, the Russian governmental press service reports.

 

Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Vladimir Putin will also take part in the meeting. It will be organized in the Independence Palace.

More than a dozen issues of the Union State activities are on the agenda. The budget of 2016 and the results of the realization of the last year’s budget will be discussed. The meeting participants will also consider the results of the trade and economic cooperation and the factors that influence this sphere as well as the political interaction in the last two years. A cooperation programme for the next two years is supposed to be adopted at the meeting, BelaPAN notes.

The previous meeting of the Supreme Council of the Union state was held in Moscow on March 3, 2015.
