Darya Domrachava shoots film about biathlon and Belarus (video)

The film “Darya Domrachava. Presenting Belarus” the biathlete spent two years to make will be shown in December. "People have often been able to see me with a camera recently. I have filmed more than 500 hours of video materials without noticing it and I would like to present the most interesting 52 minutes to YOU!” – said Darya.

The film was shot in 10 countries of the world. It took 8 months to watch the materials and the cutting took more than half a year. The film’s producer is Max Subotin, a graduate of Mihail Ptashuk’s studio and Darya Domrachava’s boyfriend. “Subotin Brothers Studio” has produced the film.

“The film is about Darya Domrachava, from her childhood the Olympic podium, - said Max Subotin to ERB. – This is a sportsman’s way in the framework of the fact that a sportsman represents a country”.

Darya has been travelling with a camera for two years. According to Max Subotin, she made more than half of the shots herself. The film describes the biathlete’s views on her complicated career, life in a team and the big sport. The film is accompanied by the biathlete’s favourite music. Domrachava noted that she liked house in one of her questionnaires but…

“…it is known that there are no house tracks. Maybe Darya meant dance music or dances. There are about 12 tracks in the film, from Rihanna to Moby, from Schedrin to the Olympic Games. There is a lot of music creating a special mood”, - added Max Subotin. 

Domrachava has not watched the film yet as she was getting ready for the beginning of the biathlon season in Finland the other day. The first private view will take place at the beginning of November. Only a short trailer of the film is ready now. Darya is running a training cross-country race with a camera there.

"This is the 30th minute of an ascending cross-country race. I do not feel like either talking or sleeping... My body demands mercy!”
