Constituent assembly of Belarusian Workers’ Party takes place in Minsk

A constituent meeting of the Belarusian Workers’ Party is taking place in Minsk today, on July 26. 65 delegates from all regions of Belarus are taking part in it.
The statute and programme of the party will be adopted and the administration will be elected during the congress.

BelaPAN reminds that the constituent assembly of the party had to take place in March but was put off several times due to economic problems.

The Belarusian Workers’ Party is created on the base of the Belarusian Labour Party liquidated in 2004. The Ministry of Justice accused the party of systematic violations of the Civil Code, the law on political parties and its own statute.

The Belarusian Workers’ Party was created in 1993. Alyaksandr Buhvostau used to be its leader before the liquidation except for a few years.
