BSU rector postpones meeting with students before Love and Solidarity March

Рэктар БДУ перанёс сустрэчу са студэнтамі перад “маршам любові і салідарнасці”

BSU rector Syarhei Ablameika has postponed the meeting with BSU students appointed for 1.30 p.m., December 2. It has been done ‘due to appeals to illegal actions and information about possible provocations’ and ‘in order to provide students’ security’, the university website reports.

Students had been planning to organize the Love and Solidarity March in protest against paying for resits. The Belarusian State University was the last higher education institution where students did not have to pay for retaking examinations. The BSU administration has ignored the students’ opinion despite the numerous signatures collected in protest against eth innovation.
