Britain rejects eurozone emergency fund

The British Minister of Finance Alistair Darling has claimed that the United Kingdom will not support the package aimed at supporting week economies of the eurozone.
"This is not our part. The countries using euro are responsible for its support”, - claimed Darling.

An emergency meeting of EU Minister of Finance has started in Brussels. Assistance to Greece and creation of an EU Stabilization Fund are on its agenda, informs the BBC.

Let us remind you that problems in the eurozone states were intensified by the crisis in Greece as its state debt exceeded 100% of the GDP and the budget deficit reached 12% of the GDP. The EU and the IMF have decided to allocate a €110 bn credit to Athens to avoid a default.

13 out of the 16 eurozone member states are in the risk group due to exceeding the boundary budget deficit.
