Brest entrepreneurs are planning to continue their strike. They announced it at another entrepreneurs’ meeting held near the local TSUM on February 25. Most private entrepreneurs stopped working in Brest at the beginning of 2016.

Brest entrepreneurs will not work and pay taxes in March, head of the entrepreneurs’ council of the market Brest TSUM Alena Kakstus told Euroradio.

"We have made the unanimous decision not to work after March 1. We cannot work because nothing has changed in decree #222. The situation is the same and we cannot observe the law at work.”

Entrepreneurs also discussed the meeting they had planned to organize in Brest on March 4. Medics have not given them permission to do it. It was their second attempt to apply for a street action. The city authorities did not allow them to conduct the meeting appointed for February 19. It is likely that they will not get permission to organize the meeting in March either.

They are planning to gather as many participants as they can and head for Minsk on March 14. The corresponding application has already been sent to Minsk City Executive Committee.
