Brest BNF members not to take part in party congress
The special 13th meeting of the BNF party is appointed for May 29 (Saturday) in Minsk. Many district affiliates of Brest Province have refused to take part in it. An activist of the party Alyaksandr Meh has informed ERB about it: Meh: "I have visited Stolin and Byaroza. Stolin affiliate has decided not to take part in it. The same about Byaroza. Malaryta district affiliate has also taken the decision not to send any delegates, Baranavichy will do the same. Our Kobryn affiliate has also unanimously decided not to take part in this congress because it does not correspond to the statute and is amoral”.
Congress delegates should not be appointed, they should be elected, said Mr. Meh. The current administration has decided that those who took part in the elections as candidates will become delegates of the congress and will be allowed “to bring” two or three people with them.
The BNF party revision commission has decided to oblige the administration to prepare the congress in correspondence with the Statute, said Mr. Meh.
Let us remind you that that the format of the BNF’s participation in the presidnetail elections will be discussed at the congress.
