Br4 million fine for insulting customs officer

An inhabitant of Astravets District insulted a Smarhon border group customs officer. The incident occurred at the Belarusian-Lithuanian border in September 2014, tut.by reports.

Frontier guards found two tanks of petrol instead of a spare tyre in her car. The woman was asked to pass the customs examination but she flatly refused to obey. She also ignored the request to visit the border service Gudagai.

Astarvets District Court has fined the woman for Br3.75 million roubles (25 base amounts) for insulting an official on duty. She tried appealing the sentence in Hrodna Province Court but failed.
