BPF starts resistance campaign to defend their office

The BPF party urged all political parties, civil organizations and ordinary citizens to join the campaign of civil pressure on the authorities demanding not to oust the "Front" from their office at Masherau Ave, 8. The Party Congress adopted a correspondent resolution "Hands Off the Island of Freedom!" today.

The BPF Chairman Aliaksej Yanukevich has told Euroradio that politicians urge to send letters to the head of Minsk city executive committee Mikalaj Ladutska with a demand to stop ousting. The BPF is to appeal the decision of the communal services administration in court on March 28.

Let us remind you, communal workers warned the party that they would not renew the rent agreement, which expires on April 1. However, according to Yanukevich, they are not going to leave the office. “In case the court decision is not in our favour, we will start an action of non-violent resistance”, – he has noted, and added that the office will work normally, and politicians will call on people to stay there all the time, but not to resist to the law-enforcement authorities in case of forcible ousting.
