Belgazprombank pays $3 million for Chagall and Soutine’s paintings at Sotheby's

Belgazprombank has bought Chagall’s Le somnambule, Pendule Au Ciel Embrasé and Paysage vert.  The painting Pendule Au Ciel Embrasé was the most expensive – $650 thousand. The bank paid $341 thousand for Le somnambule and $137 thousand – for Paysage vert.

Furthermore, the Belarusian bank bought Chaim Soutine’s Eva.  The bankers paid $1 million 800 thousand for it.

Chaim Soutine’s Le Petit Pâtissier set a world record in May. It was auctioned for $18 million at Christie's, New York.
