Belavia unveils re-branding plans

"Белавія" ўводзіць новы лагатып — на аснове васілька

Belarus' national flag carrier Belavia has started to re-brand its fleet. According to Belavia CEO Anatol Husarau, new Boeing 737 planes painted with a new logo will join the fleet in August 2016 right from the manufacturer's plant.

“The new colors are based on the blue cornflower. Gradually, we will paint our older planes in the same way. Not only the interior of the planes but also the exterior will change," said Husarau.

Belavia may launch a new direct flight from Minsk to Canary Islands next summer, according to the company.

Designer Illya Andreyeu was the first to propose the idea of a cornflower on Belavia planes as new colors of the airline. At some point, he simply posted his sketches online. Shortly after, he was invited by the Belavia management to join their team of designers to collaborate on a new marking design.
