Belarusians start Europe field hockey championship with defeat
Belarus national women’s field hockey team has started playing in the division “Trophy” at the European Women’s Championship in Rome, the capital of Italy, on July 19. BelTA reports that the start was not successful: the Belarusians were defeated by France national team – 1:2.
The only goal was scored by Yuliya Laptsevich during the 55th minute. The Belarusians passed two balls during the 11th and the 62nd minutes.
The Italian team defeated Poland in another match of the preliminary stage in group A — 1:0.
France and Italy national teams have scored 3 points after the first round while Belarus and Poland do not have any.
The other Belarusians’ matches of the preliminary stage will be played with Italy (July 21) and Poland (July 22).
