Belarusian-Russian “gas” negotiations to take place in Moscow today

Negotiations about Russian gas supplies to Belarus will take place in Moscow today. Belarus will be represented by the Minister of Energy Alyaksandr Azayrets and the director general of “Beltransgaz” Uladzimir Mayorau. Heads of “Gazprom” will represent Russia. This year’s supplies will be discussed along with gas supplies in 2008. Belarus is going to suggest new formulas for gas pricing.

At the moment the Belarusian gas price depends on the European price. The new one will be announced after all European consumers of Russian gas sign contracts.

Minsk insists on a greater variety to plan long-term expenses for energy carriers, reports BelTA.
