Belarusian novel "City of the Fish" published in Poland

Poznan publishing office “Rebis” has published a novel of the Belarusian writer Natalka Babina "City of the Fish" (Miasto ryb). The book has been translated into Polish by an outstanding Polish translator Małgożata Buchalik. The publishing office has organized a writer's marathon for the author. Natalka Babina is to meet with her readers in Warsaw, Krakow, Białystok, Biała Podlaska, Lublin and Olsztyn.

Babina: "The novel has features of adventure, women's, socially sharp and detective story. It is also about contemporary Belarus having its roots in the Great Duchy of Lithuania. It is also about the unity of the Poles and the Belarusians".
 
The novel takes us to contemporary Belarus, namely, to Brest region. "City of the Fish" is contemporary Brest, historical Berascie.

The novel will also be published in Ukraine by the publishing office "Zeleny Pes".
