Belarusian hockey players are defeated at World Championship in Canada again

Belarus national team was defeated for the second time on end during the World Hockey Championship in Canada. Our team lost to Switzerland 1:2 on May 5 in spite of the participation of such NHL players as Ruslan Salei, Mihail Hrabouski and Syarhei and Andrei Kastsitsyns.
A.Kastsitsyn and R.Salei were penalized for 16 minutes (50%) and Swisses scored their victory goal after R.Salei had been sent off the field.

Team score in group “A”: Switzerland — 6 points (2 matches; disparity 6-2), Sweden — 3 (1; 6-5), Belarus — 0 (2; 6-8), France — 0 (1; 1-4).

The Belarusian and French teams will play the final match of the first round on May 8. Kurt Freiser’s team will have to be at least third in order to make it to the next round.
