Belarusian artist Lyonik Tarasevich gets Jerzy Giedroyc Literary Award (photo)

Belarusian painter Lyonik Tarasevich has received the Jerzy Giedroyc Literary Award founded by the Warsaw newspaper Rzeczpospolita.  His work ‘for the general good and cultivation of memory about the history of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and Poland’s great contribution as the state of many peoples, cultures and religions’ has been rewarded.
 
Lyonik Tarasevich is 60 years old. He lives in Białystok area. He actively participates in Polish Belarusians’ life and is one of the founders of the festival Basowiszcza.


Historian Andrzej Sulima Kamiński is the other laureat of the Jerzy Giedroyc Literary Award.
