Rescue service in Russia's Khabarovsk region today received SOS signals from the area near the Shantarsk Islands in the Okhotskoye Sea.
In the first case, a tourist from Komsomolsk-on-Amur was reportedly killed by a bear. In the second case, SOS signal was sent by a group that comprises tourists from Belarus, Ukraine and Russia.
The tourists were travelling on a launch boat, but its engine failed down. They are requesting the local authorities to airlift them by a helicopter, but rescuers promised to send help only tomorrow morning due to bad weather conditions today, reports the Russian news agency Itar-Tass.
