Belarus to send students to China

The Belarus Ministry of Education says it will provide scholarships to undergraduate and postgraduate students and interns to study in China in 2007-2008.

The undergraduate students are expected to speak Chinese, while interns and post-graduate students must be fluent in English. The courses would last from three months to one year.

The Belarusian State University of IT Technologies is set to send its students to China under this program.

The Belarus university will cover the Minsk-Beijing-Minsk return ticket, while the transport expenses in China will be paid by the host.

The scholarship will cover fees, lodging, books, and the students will also receive daily allowances from the Chinese hosts, reports BELTA.
