Belarus is ready to dispatch a peace-making contingent to Donbas, Belarus Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makei said in Minsk after the recent meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow. “We are prepared to provide a peace-making contingent if all stakeholders accept it in order to take part in performing peacemaking tasks," BELTA news agency quotes Makei as saying

The Minister reminded that three years ago President Lukashenka had mentioned the country's residence to send a Belarusian peacemaking contingent to Donbas. Minsk hosts regular meetings of the triparty contact group on the resolution of the crisis in eastern Ukraine. Minsk hopes it will continue to play a peace-making role in this conflict.
