Belarus may lose possibility to get European credits

"Credits of the European Investment Bank is the only possibility of the European Union to exercise financial pressure on Minsk”, - claimed the vice President of the EIB  Marta Gajecka. The bank is planning to spend 3.7 billion euro on Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian and Moldavian projects by 2013. However, Belarusian credits may be blocked by decisions of the Council of Europe, says Gajecka .The decision may be taken if Belarus continues exercising pressure on the Polish minority in Belarus.

At the moment the EIB has offers of Belarusian projects for 500 million euro. Belarus could get up to a billion euro by 2013, reports "Gazeta Wyborcza" referring to Gajecka.
