Belarus marks World War I anniversary

Ceremonies are to be held in Belarus' Baranavichy district to mark the 90th anniversary of the end of World War I.
A rally and a service for the fallen are to take place at the military cemetery near the village of Kisyali, the site of a major battle, said Zhanna Bulyha, an official with the Baranavichy District Executive Committee.

A replay of a World War I battle is to be staged outside the village of Dubrouna.

Invited to take part have been German, Hungarian, Serb and Russian diplomats, reported BelaPAN.

Interfax said that the grand-grand son of the German chancellor, Alexander von Bismarck, and Princess Natalie Galitsyna, a descendant of a Russian general who took part in the war, are expected to attend the ceremonies.
