Belarus leads in consumer price growth among CIS countries
Belarus has reported the highest consumer price growth among former Soviet countries in January - April 2013, according to the national statistics agency Belstat.
Prices in Belarus has grown by 5.9 against only 2.4% in Russia, 0.1% in Ukraine, 0.3% in Georgia, 0.7% in Lithuania and 2.2% in Kazakhstan in the first four months of 2013.
In April, Belarus shared the first place with Russia, showing a 0.5% consumer price growth. Prices remained unchanged in Latvia and dropped by 0.1% in Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Estonia.
Belarus was the consumer price leader among former Soviet republics in 2011 and 2012 (108.7% and 21.8% correspondingly), reports Belapan.
