Belarus' defense ministry denies selling fighters to Sudan

A Belarusian defense official has dismissed as "an absurdity" the Sudan Tribune's report about an alleged shipment of Russian MiG-29 fighters to Sudan through Belarus.

Asked by Interfax to comment on the report, Vyacheslau Ramenchyk, spokesman for the ministry, said that it makes no sense to "comment on absurdities."

The Sudan Trubune reported that on July 21 that a shipment of new Russian MIG-29 tactical fighters had arrived in Sudan from Belarus.
