Foreign visitors holding tickets to 2019 European Games events will be able to enter Belarus without a visa via any border post by car, train or plane, Deputy Chair of the 2nd European Games 2019 Directorate Foundation Anatol Kotau said during the Minsk Forum on Friday, reports Radio Liberty.

According to Mr Kotau, Belarus will introduce the visa-free regime through all border posts for one month - 11 days of sporting events, 10 days prior and 10 days after. "We invite all representatives of the press without any limitations or quotas. We want Belarus to sound in a new way on the international news agenda," he said.

Belarus plans to broadcast the 2019 European Games to 160 countries of the world. The first European Games in Azerbaijan were broadcast to 140 countries.

Almost 4000 athletes are expected in Minsk to take part in 15 sports in 23 categories. The majority of events will hold the status of qualifications for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokio. 4 European championships will be held in the framework of the European Games in Belarus.
