Christian Democracy behind white-red-white flag in central Minsk (photo)

The national flag was noticed in the centre of Minsk at about 9 p.m. on July 16, activist Hanna Shaputska told Euroradio.

The flag was hung out on the building in Independence Avenue near Yakub Kolas Square at 8 p.m. and stayed there for about an hour, Belarusian Chrsitian Democracy (BCD) website reports.

The organizers of the action are indignant at the latest news received from Mahilyou prison #4. They demand that the practices of forcing prisoners to plea for mercy be stopped and to release all political prisoners. They also demand to stop persecuting Vasil Parfyanou and Uladzimir Yaromenak who face new criminal charges.
