Battle of Orsha exposition opens in Minsk Palace of Arts

According to the organizers, the main task of the exposition that will end on November 9 is to promote the history of the GDL and its culture in art, BELTA reports. “We know that many people invaded our land – Tatar, Moscow, Swedish, German, French invaders and others. But our warriors have always had enough power to defend themselves and their Motherland,” head of the Belarusian Union of Painters Ryhor Sinitsa claimed.

The Battle of Orsha (September 8, 1514) ended in the victory of the GDL and Polish Kingdom who managed to defeat Muscovites.
