Azarenka to play in US Open quarters today
The Belarusian tennis player will compete with Russian Yekaterina Makarova.
The match will be played in the Arthur Ash main court at about 7.30-8 p.m. EEST, Pressball reports. Victoria Azarenka is the World No. 17 and Makarova is the 18th in the WTA rankings.
The Belarusian defeated Japanese Misaki Doi (— 6:7, 6:4, 6:1), American Christina McHale (6:3. 6:2), Russian Yelena Vesnina (6:1, 6:1) and Serbian Aleksandra Krunić (4:6, 6:4, 6:4) on her way to the US Open quarters.
