Autuhovich’s case to be sent to court soon

The criminal case of a Vaukavysk entrepreneur will be sent to court soon. The deputy Belarusian attorney general Victar Konan claimed it at a press conference on October 14. According to him, “there is some crime in the case”. BelaPAN reminds that Mikalai Autuhovcih was detained in Vaukavysk on February 8, 2009. Two activists of the entrepreneurs’ movement were detained together with him – Yury Lyavonau and Uladzimir Asipenka. The Ministry of Internal Affairs informed that Autuhovich “and some other people” were accused of preparation of acts of terrorism on June 23.

Lyavonau was released on August 8 and all charges against him were dismissed on September 24. Autuhovich and Asipenka are still in Minsk confinement cell #1. The investigation of their criminal case was prolonged for one more month on October 8.

Officially unconfirmed information that one of the former heads of Hrodna Region Executive Committee’s Department of the Interior for prevention of corruption and organized crime Mihail Kazlou was a suspect in the case appeared the other day.
