Apple Tea + Tselser = Apple Tea V

“Vigma” musical label shops have received the fifth album of the veterans of domestic jazz Apple Tea – “Apple Tea V”. According to the band’s drummer Alyaksandr Sapeha, the album is the best one in the Apple Tea’s discography and consists of 10 songs written by Ihar Satsevich in different periods of time:

Alyaksandr Sapeha: “There are 10 songs in the album, all of them were written in different periods of time. By the way, there are old songs among them. They were written by Ihar when “Apple Tea” was created and they were forgotten. Now they have received a second chance: we used to play in a childlike style and now we play like adults. The same people took part in the album…”

Artist Uladzimir Tselser suggested the unusual title for the disc. He has demonstrated his work on Apple Tea’s discs several times already. Tsesler asked the musicians to invent a short name for the album so that he could realize his unusual graphic ideas this time. And then he suggested it himself. They had to refuse from traditions.

Alyaksandr Sapeha: “We usually name our albums after one of the songs. Many people do so. But Tsesler asked for a short name. Our variant did not satisfy him and he suggested calling the disc “Fifth” – in the numerical order.

According to Alyaksandr, the concert presentation of the album of “Apple Tea” will take place in Minsk on May 19. Furthermore, the band is going to organize a tour to promote the album in Belarusian cities having musical institutions: Homel, Hrodna, Brest, Mahileu and so on.
