Andreichanka is elected speaker of Parliament without alternative

The head of Vitsebsk Region Executive Committee Uladzimir Andreichanka has been elected head of the House of Representatives of the fourth convocation. 107 deputies voted for him and 1 deputy voted contra. One voting paper was declared invalid, reports “Interfax”.
Let us note that Andreichanka ran for speaker without any alternative.



Biographical note:
Uladzimir Abdreichanka was born in 1949 into a peasants’ family in Lyozna District of Vitsebsk Region. He graduated from Velikolutskii Agricultural Institute (Russia) and from Minsk higher party school. He worked as an agronomist in Verhnyadzinsk District and was involved in Komsomol and party work in Lyozna District 17 years later. He was the head of the collective farm and of the district executive committee. He was a deputy of the Supreme Council of the 12th convocation and a member of the Council of the Republic of three convocations. He was appointed head of Vitsebsk Region Executive Committee in November 1994.
